Khelo India Youth Games are the annual national-level games that were started in 2018. The main aim of this tournament is to support multidisciplinary Grassroot games in India. The tournament is organized into two categories, under-17 years school students and under-21 college students. 1000 kids are given a scholarship of ₹5 lakh for 8 years. This money helps them to prepare for international sporting events.
The 2022 Khelo India Youth Games started on 4th June and will be played till 13th June 2022. The tournament is taking place in Tau Devi Lal Complex in Panchkula, Haryana. A total of 4,700 athletes will participate in 26 various sports. Maharashtra is the defending champion of the tournament.
