After the whole scandal of Cristiano Ronaldo vs Manchester United and Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel problem, it appears that our world famous footballer might consider joining the Blues. This is potentially due to their decline after Tuchel’s departure from the club.
As Ronaldo continues to look for a new team, William Gallas has urged his former club, Chelsea to sign Cristiano Ronaldo on a six-month loan.
Just last month, the 37-year-old recorded an explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he slammed Manchester United, as well as manager Erik ten Hag. United then took the decision to mutually terminate Ronaldo’s contract, leaving the six-time Ballon d’Or winner without a club.
Now that the World Cup is over, and Portugal was knocked out in the quarter-finals by Morocco, Ronaldo is looking for a new team to play for. He has been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, but there is still talk of a switch to Chelsea.
Gallas, who played for the Blues from 2001 to 2006, has advised his former club to take a chance on Ronaldo and sign him on a season-long contract. The former defender stated that Chelsea has problems with goal scoring recently, and a new striker would be a good solution.
“Chelsea will have to buy a striker. They have to find the right striker who fits the system,” Gallas stated. “Chelsea are in the position where they are not scoring many goals, and Ronaldo could do that.
“It would have been difficult for him at the World Cup on the bench, so he needs time to think to avoid a similar situation to what happened at Man United. If he goes to Chelsea, it should only be until the end of the season but I think he could do a good job there.”

There were fairly mixed reviews on the Portuguese legend joining the Blues. Some are enthusiastic, some are not. Fans are stating that Ronaldo joining the Blues will not solve all of the club’s current issues that are at stake.
However, Ronaldo may be a good addition to the team with his impressive skills. Chelsea fans who aren’t clear about his situation have a little dislike towards him as they fear what happened with him and Manchester United might have another repeat with Chelsea.
Others are stating that the pros of having Ronaldo on the team would be more marketing for Chelsea and there would be good profits for the team from that. The other positive thing would be that he could teach the youngsters in the club on how to perform better with his many years of experience.
One drawback of having a veteran such as Ronaldo would be that he will definitely be a difficult character on the team. Fans fear that he might make the club work for him instead of the other way around. This is just pure speculation as his previous days prior to Manchester United, there were little to no complaints about his behaviour.
