Carlos Correa

Carlos Correa had to warn his teammates in 2016 not to flirt with Daniella Rodriguez, who would become his wife. When Correa was a member of the Houston Astros, he had to work hard to secure a date with Daniella.

He was a member of the 2017 team that won the World Series and the American League Rookie of the Year in 2015. Furthermore, he participated in two All-Star games with the Astros and had a significant impact during the Astros’ five consecutive ALCS appearances from 2017 to 2021.

While signing a three-year, $105 million contract with the Minnesota Twins, Correa ended his relationship with them after just one season. Now, it’s widely anticipated that the 28-year-old Puerto Rican will sign a 12-year, $315 million contract and play for the New York Mets this season.

Daniella and Correa initially came into contact when Daniella, a former Miss Texas, was invited to the Astros’ stadium in September 2016 to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. At one point during the game, the former Astros shortstop had to stop Chris Devenski, a teammate from Houston, from approaching his future bride.

Correa explained their friendship in a video:

“I recall that Chris Devenski, a teammate of mine, was there to catch the first pitch. So I remember telling him, “Hey Devo, don’t even think about it,” when pitchers walk through the field to get to the bullpen. I own her.”

But this wasn’t the first time they had spoken; Correa had gotten in touch with her after watching her compete at the Miss USA contest. He had texted her on Instagram. Before her mother pushed her to send a response, Daniella claimed she was originally hesitant to do so.

Additionally, Rodriguez chose Carlos Correa’s outfit for her debut pitch

Daniella also revealed that she chose Carlos Correa’s clothing by chance for her first pitch at Minute Maid Park. She was on the verge of purchasing the exact shirt but decided against it because she didn’t want to start any rumors. Rodriguez received a second Instagram message from Correa following the game.

At some point, the two would get together. After their World Series victory, Correa would make his then-girlfriend a live televised proposal. On November 29, 2021, the couple would become husband and wife after getting hitched in 2019. Recently, in October 2022, the couple made the announcement that they were expecting their second child.
