The Maple Leafs host the struggling Blues in the NHL, Nashville hosts a Montreal defense that is conceding goals at an alarming rate, and Steven Stamkos, who is two goals shy of reaching the 500-point plateau, travels to the (to put it mildly) struggling Blackhawks with the rest of his productive Lightning teammates.
These are just a few of the games on Tuesday’s exciting 11-game schedule that appear to be lopsided. The Oilers are attempting to repeat their 7-2 victory against the Kraken from last Friday with forward Leon Draisaitl (presumably) back in the lineup, while the entertaining Senators team is hoping to take advantage of the visiting Blue Jackets who have trouble beating anyone other than Chicago (1-7-0).
Again, on paper, the schedule also features a number of evenly matched games, including the Flames’ trip to Winnipeg and the Capitals’ game against Buffalo. For Washington, T.J. Oshie’s return is tentatively anticipated, but Tom Wilson’s return to health and the debut of Nicklas Backstrom are still likely to happen after another game.
Predictions on the NHL
The Hurricanes will undoubtedly be attempting to make it 12 straight victories against a tough opponent in New York in one of Tuesday’s showcase games. Igor Shesterkin will do all in his power to prevent Carolina’s winning run from reaching twelve after a heroic 39-save performance in Tampa.
Favorable matchup having defeated the Bruins, Capitals, and Sabres in the previous week, the Senators are currently playing some excellent hockey. The most productive player for Ottawa has ‘t played since Sunday and won’t until the weekend. Against the league’s second-worst defense, he or she might have a great time.
Along with the team’s more powerful players Tim Stutzle, Drake Batherson, and Alex DeBrincat, rookie center Shane Pinto will aim to score some fantasy points against a Columbus defense that is still adjusting to life without Zach Werenski and Jake Bean.
