However, in light of the Miami Heat’s latest update, it appears that Herro will have to sit out the next few games due to a Grade 2 ankle sprain.

“INJURY UPDATE: Tyler Herro has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 ankle sprain. He will be in a walking boot for 10 days and will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks.
We will have a better idea of his return to play after 2 week re-evaluation.”
Herro’s accident
The accident happened during the Heat’s Wednesday night match-up with the Memphis Grizzlies. In the first half of the game, Herro attempted a floater when he landed, unfortunately, on Grizzlies center Jaren Jackson Jr.’s foot, rolling his ankle in the process.

Herro was observed to be in a state of agony as he attempted to crawl onto the court for a brief period of time before eventually rising to his feet. He then left the court, limping as he headed to the locker room.
Before he got hurt, Herro had six points in eight minutes, shooting 2 of 4 from the field with two assists, one steal, and one rebound.
In a post-game interview, Herro explained his injury:
“It was unfortunate,” Herro said. “Just spur of the moment, a floater, a shot that I shoot multiple times a game, just unfortunate to land on his foot. I don’t feel the best, but I’m going to get better. I’ll be straight.”
He further elaborated on it, saying, “Right when it happened I felt it,” he said. “And I kind of knew mentally, I heard some crunches and cracks in my ankle. And I’m like, ‘Yeah, that will be it.’

Assuming Herro’s absence is limited to two weeks, it is possible that he could re-enter the lineup on November 24 for Miami’s game against New York at the Madison Square Garden, which would mean that he would just be out for seven games, as per Yahoo Sports.
The problem now lies with who will take the place of the team’s lead scorer.
According to Ira Winderman, the team is now bringing back reinforcements such as Jamal Cain, Cole Swider, and Nikola Jovic for Saturday’s game in Atlanta.
