The Phoenix Suns won against the New Orleans Pelicans with a score of 124-111, primarily led by Devin Booker with 52 points. With this recent victory, Phoenix is now just one game behind the Pelicans for the final automatic playoff slot in the Western Conference.
During the game, all five of the Suns’ starters scored double digits. Notably, center Jusuf Nurkić scored 19 points and grabbed 19 rebounds, and Kevin Durant scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Booker, who shot an effective 67.9% from the field, including 8 of 16 from three, also had 9 assists.
The Suns had a 27-point lead in the third quarter, but the Pelicans rallied to close the gap to just seven points in the fourth quarter, setting up an exciting final finish.

Trey Murphy III scored 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and five assists to lead New Orleans. Moreover, Zion Williamson contributed to the Pelicans’ performance with 30 points and five assists.
According to recorded data, Booker scored 50 points or more against the Pelicans for the third time in a row. This made him the only player since Wilt Chamberlain to score 50 points or more against a single opponent in three straight games.
With this achievement, Booker expressed: “I just feel like I’m playing the same way…I mean, the crib is close. I have a lot of family in attendance. I grew up coming here. It’s the first NBA arena I went to, so there’s some history here.”
