Hinson

In just two seasons with the Pitt Panthers, Blake Hinson has become a legend, dazzling fans and rewriting school records.

His latest feat? Sinking an incredible five 3-pointers in a single game against Florida State, securing his place in history as the sole player to hit over 100 3-pointers in a season for Pitt.

Surpassing Ashton Gibbs’ iconic record, Hinson’s 103-point achievement cements his status as a true basketball phenom. With each shot, he leaves an indelible mark on the court and in the hearts of Panther fans everywhere.

The 7th Player to hold the record

Blake’s 3-pointer skills made him the first player to reach a total number of 200 triples in a season, all thanks to Jeff Capel’s guidance.

Furthermore, he is currently the seventh player from Pitt to achieve this milestone. Other well-known players who made the same number of 3-pointers as him were only Gibbs, Jason Matthews, Sean Miller, Ronald Ramon, Julius Page, and Brandin Knight.

On top of that, Hinson now also holds the title of being the 12th player in ACC history to record 90 or more 3-pointers from two different campaigns.

Hinson led Pitt with most 3-pointers made in a single game. This season alone, he made records against West Virginia and Louisville as he scored nine 3-pointers. With 41 points against the Cardinals, he set the Petersen Events Record. His 3-points shots are most needed by the Panthers for them to play in the playoffs, against Florida State.
