Mykhaylo Mudryk Arsenal

As we all know, Arsenal has been given free reign on beefing up their team to win this season’s Premier League. Mikel Arteta’s strategy is to get the best of the best to be integrated into his team.

Mykhaylo Mudryk, a winger for the Shakhtar Donetsk football club, is Arsenal’s top target for the upcoming transfer window. Arsenal made a formal offer from Shakhtar Donetsk, albeit it’s thought that Arsenal’s offer is well below what the Ukrainian club is seeking.

The Premier League leaders have long been interested in Mudryk, a lightning-quick forward who turns 22 next month. Mudryk has also drawn significant interest from other leagues. During the summer, Brentford was ready to sign him for a club record, but Shakhtar, who are known for being difficult negotiators, were unmoved by the Bees’ interest.

Arsenal did not participate in the auction, but according to the Guardian, they have since moved to try to sign the Ukrainian international in January.

Mudryk’s stock soared quickly over the course of the fall with a succession of great Champions League performances, but Shakhtar will only contemplate a sizable sum as compensation.

Mudryk scored three goals in six of the games played during the group stage and added seven more throughout the current season of Ukraine’s premier division. They want to get up to £85 million for a player considered to be one of the best attacking talents in the world, but Arsenal are not likely to go that far.

Fan reaction towards Arsenal and Mudryk

According to football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Mudryk has been posting Instagram stories of Arsenal. This shows that he is more than interested in joining the English Premier League, specifically with Arsenal.

Arsenal fans are determined to humble the Ukrainian player as they claim that there is a long list of other players that are more than able to join the club. Fans are also suggesting that Arsenal should get Portuguese footballer Leao instead of him.

Fans are also appreciating the work that Mikel Arteta is doing for Arsenal as five years ago, most players would not consider joining the team. However, now the Gunners have proved themselves under Arteta’s leadership and there is a long list of potential new players that will be beefing up the team.

Fans do not agree with the £85 million price point for the Ukrainian winger. They claimed that Brentford offered £25 million to purchase him in the middle of this year, and that a reasonable range would be between £30-40 million, which is still quite high.

There are some fans who agree that paying the said amount is worth it. However, some realistic fans realised that other clubs are not willing to pay the high price the Ukrainian club has set. Suggestions from fans that Arsenal get Mudryk on loan instead of fully purchasing him has risen.

However, as stated earlier, Shakhtar Donetsk is one of the toughest negotiators for the football clubs in Europe. Regardless, they would not want to be low balled by a major English team for their prized player.
