According to reports, Yunus Musah of the USA and Valencia spoke with Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal. The Spanish team reportedly indicated late last year that they could be open to selling Musah if they received about £17 million in offers. The player, who is under contract with Valencia through the summer of 2026, currently has three main suitors, all from the Premier League, according to a recent report by 90min.

Musah’s representatives have been in contact with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea for a while now. The American midfielder is reportedly attracting interest from Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United, two other English Premier League teams. The 20-year-old has also been connected to other clubs in Europe. Rumors link VFL Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Atlético Madrid to the play.

Musah was a notable graduate of the Arsenal system who appeared in 18 games for their U18 team, scoring five goals and dishing out three assists (via Transfermarkt). The rumored Liverpool and Chelsea’s target left the Gunners in 2019 to sign with Valencia’s B squad, and the following year, he was promoted to Valencia’s first team.

The American has since played 101 times for Los Che, contributing five goals and three assists. This La Liga season, Musah has appeared in 27 of their 30 games and has contributed two assists in addition to averaging 4.9 successful duels, 1.6 tackles, and 0.6 vital passes per game.

Since making his USA debut in 2020, he has also earned 24 caps for his country. The midfielder contributed greatly to the Stars and Stripes’ march to Round 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup by providing two assists in those matches.

After participating in their opening game for 75 minutes, Musah began and finished their final three contests in Qatar. In addition to completing 87% of his passes, he had a game average of 4.5 successful duels, 2.0 tackles, and 0.8 critical passes.

The rumor mill has connected other players with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal besides Yunus Musah. Mason Mount, a midfielder for the Blues, has also been the focus of rumor’s involving all three teams.

In the summer of 2024, Mount’s existing contract at Stamford Bridge is scheduled to expire. Chelsea may try to sell him for a respectable sum this summer if contract negotiations fail to produce a result.

In a recent essay for CaughtOffside, transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano gave an update on his future, saying: “Despite reported interest from Arsenal in Mason Mount, Liverpool remain the favorites for the Blues midfielder, as they consider Mount one of their top priorities for the summer transfer window.”
