Heinrich Malan has been named as the Head coach of the Irish National Cricket Team. Malan has replaced Graham Ford as the new Head coach of the team. The Irish team will be very thrilled to start their new campaign with their new coach.
Heinrich Malan is a South African coach who is born on April 6, 1981, in Pretoria, South Africa. Malan was a right-handed medium-pace bowler who is also a coach. Malan used to coach domestic teams of New Zealand.
Malans Coaching career started in June 2013, where he was the coach of Central District stags till March 2019. In that tenure, he helped the team to win five national trophies which include the one-day Ford Trophy Twice, Burger King Super Smash T20 once, and first-class Plunket Shield twice.
He was appointed as Auckland Acers coach in April 2019 and was their coach till December 2021. In January 2022, he was appointed as the Head coach of the Ireland National Cricket Team.
Malan will now be preparing the team for Jamaica, where they will play a three ODI match series and one T20 International Match against West Indies. The team will be very excited to play with their new coach. The board will be expecting better results from the team with a new coach on board.

Ireland to face Australia in a one-off Test in Belfast
Ireland will play against Australia in an exclusive Test match in Belfast as part of the 150th anniversary festivities of Irish Rugby. Having been promoted to the top division after placing third in the Women’s Six Nations, Scott Bemand’s team will use the Kingspan Stadium match to prepare for the Canada WXV competition.
Bemand, Ireland’s head coach, declared: “We are pleased to add this Test match into our fixture list at the start of next season, providing the squad with a valuable preparation window ahead of our WXV campaign in September and October.”
