Bukayo Saka

Despite Bukayo Saka’s injury, Arsenal made a great comeback to the top of the Premier League. For them to maintain their good status, Gabriel Martinelli would need to step up and continue leading the way for other players in the Gunners.

Bukayo Saka appeared to be in pain right after rushing towards a ball down the field during the early first half. They won against Nottingham Forest, however this did not come without repercussions. Saka looked as though he was in pain and managed to stay on the field reaching nearly a 30 minute mark.

Later on, the young footballer had to receive treatment on the field and was subsequently replaced for the match. Images on social media showed that Saka received immense support from his peers at Arsenal, this shows that the teammates actually care about each other.

Saka has played football at a professional level for Arsenal since he was only 17-years-old. They poached him at a very early age and until today is regarded as one of their greatest assets on their team.

Comments on Bukayo Saka’s injury

The BBC tweeted a get well soon tweet for the English player. “This is what happens when the referees don’t give enough fouls on him,” said a netizen. A response to that comment was that Bukayo Saka was given a yellow card for “diving” when in fact, he was kicked and pushed down.

Arsenal fans must be freaking out now that their star player has gotten seriously injured stated by a commenter. However, they stated that it would be exciting to see Reiss Nelson to be given a chance at the spotlight. Probably this would be the time that Nelson would show his worth to the team.

Tottenham fans openly admitted that they feel it’s unfair how Saka is treated on the field by the referees. They claimed that without players like him, the Premier League will be worse off and that it is shocking to see a lack of protection towards a player of his stature.

Many are stating that if Bukayo Saka is still injured during the 2022 World Cup, England will be far worse off than they currently are. They further stated that England needs to pray for their luck if he doesn’t recover.

Martinelli and Saka’s friendship

According to the Mirror, Martinelli is worried about his relationship with Saka after this whole ordeal as he thought about how bad things would be without the star. Reiss Nelson, who substituted for Saka, came off the bench and scored two goals ahead for the Gunners.

The team ended up scoring five goals against Forest. This is also due to Partey and Odegaard scoring extra goals for them.

Martinelli then approached Mikel Arteta and debated among each other. They discussed strategies on taking advantage of Forest’s weakness regardless if Saka is on the field or not. Hopefully the English player would not take offence to his teammate strategizing without him.
