Erling Haaland’s name was sidelined for most of the FIFA World Cup, due to his country not being able to compete with bigger teams. However, now that the Premier League is back up and running again, we are bound to see his name on headlines again as it were a few months back.
Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, is so driven by the need to score, according to Kevin De Bruyne, that he may score 800 goals in his career.
The Norwegian scored his 24th goal this season in 19 appearances across all competitions, including the opening goal in Thursday’s 3-2 Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool. His career total is getting close to 200.
Haaland’s teammate stated: “Erling is so obsessed with goals. He already has about 200 goals, so he can probably go to 600, 700 or 800 if he stays fit and does the things that he does. Erling is a top-level striker. I don’t see Erling as different to a lot of people. He is a normal football player like everybody else and he doesn’t take himself too seriously.
“When you talk about professional footballers or professional athletes, everybody has that little edge. I don’t think you can become a professional player if you don’t have that little something to become the best version you can be.
“He is still a young boy enjoying his life and he takes his football very seriously. He loves scoring goals, so I think that is the most unique thing he has.”
This would put him in the ranks of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi sooner than any of us might think. However, he is a striker, hence the goals scored would definitely be more than the rest of the other footballers.
Norway not being qualified for the World Cup shows that Haaland needs his A team, which is Manchester City. A team that does not gel well with a striker is going to have issues as the communications might be off.

Apparently, while we were all crazy about the World Cup, he has decided to come back to the field with a “new look.” He now looks more like a viking then he looked previously, and there are an assortment of mixed reviews about this new hair style.
A fan stated that his new hair looks like Helga’s hair from Hey Arnold, a popular cartoon show back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Some fans are calling his new hairstyle “cultural appropriation” regardless of the vikings, the people of his origins, who had this type of hair for centuries.
Fans are apparently missing his old hair, many claimed that he looked sleek with shorter hair. Others responded that he looks like Greta Thunberg and Britney Spears in the early 2000s. Funny comments about him wanting to try the women’s league now are also quite prominent on Twitter.
