Mikel Arteta, one of the most controversial managers in the Premier League, has finally let loose a little during the 90th minute of their match against Tottenham. He has sacrificed plenty for the Gunners and will not stop at any pace for the team’s future.
The match ended at 3-1 where Arsenal scored three goals and Tottenham scored only one. Arteta is no stranger to suffering and fighting till the very end and repeating his steps again until the next game commences. Even when his team is leading the match he still spun his arms around like a broken toy.
Kieran Tierney came out of nowhere coming extremely close to scoring another goal for Arsenal with just a few seconds left. Arteta’s face came to a smile as he observed the strategies he must’ve placed in work, plus a player attempting to score at the very end of a match shows the dedication of the players as well.
After 13 days of waiting in anticipation, it’s as though Arteta got what he actually wanted. Winning this game meant that Arsenal, the team that won seven out of eight of their Premier League games thus far will proceed in leading the whole league for at least a week.
The only team that broke their perfect record was Manchester United. Arteta then said, “[It was] 100% needed because when you play such a big game you want to win.
“Those opinions are correct because when you look at the start and just put it in that context you can do it, but it’s about how you give and receive information and how that affects you or not.
“For me the message is to the players and everybody here at the club that we are able to play at this level against this kind of opponent. That should give them confidence and belief.”
“Looking at the table and seeing the club in this position is great,” continued the Spaniard. “It gives you a great feeling obviously. But we are focused. It’s a really hungry and humble team believe me. It’s nothing that we have done yet and there’s still a lot of things to improve. That’s the direction we’re taking.”
Moments of him smiling would be considered rare as even if you scored for a match, your position as the top team in the Premier League can easily be replaced by another team. Teams in the top six are not too kind to one and another, especially on the field.
According to the British press, Arsenal has rejected Tottenham’s recent sudden move toward pragmatism like a deceitful friend. Many Arsenal supporters initially wanted Arteta to be fired from the team as in his early days, he was not as strong as he is now. In pragmatic terms, Arsenal fans wanted Max Allegri instead of Arteta.
On Twitter, fans are talking about Mikel Arteta and stated that those who have stayed loyal to him throughout his failures deserve an applause. It is a common fact that most managers can’t bring their team to success within their first year, the only one that could do that was Thomas Tuchel.

A football fan made a meme depicting Arsenal fans who praise mediocre players and would then blame Arteta for arranging poor structures and then blaming him completely for everything in the end. Fans admitted that during Arteta’s tough times they wanted him out, only the club owners were the ones who genuinely believed in him and his abilities.
