While the rest of America took a break from the hustle and bustle of life to celebrate Thanksgiving day with their family, relatives, and close friends, the Green Bay Packers were out at Fort Field clashing against the Detroit Lions.

And it’s safe to say it was all worth it, as they clinched another win and improved their record to 5-3. The highlight of the match went to none other than Packers safety Jonathan Owens.

In the first quarter, Owens recovered a fumble by quarterback Jared Goff and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown. This led the Packers to outgain the Lions 20-6 with 2:23 remaining on the clock.

Not one to miss a good moment, Simone Biles excitedly took to X (formerly Twitter) to fangirl over her husband, Owen.

She shared a video of Owen’s touchdown moment on her X profile.

A few hours later, Biles followed this up with another post, this time celebrating the whole team’s win.

Owens, on the other hand, said that the experience was surreal at first, noting that it was the first time being in the end zone since high school.

“Man, it was a great feeling.” Owens said after the game, via CNN.

Owens had a game-high 12 tackles, eight of which were solo, in addition to the tremendous scoop and touchdown. He led the Packers in tackles for the second straight game, as reported by JS Online.
