Bryan Reynolds

The Texas Rangers are pursuing Bryan Reynolds, an outfielder with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Reynolds is reportedly being pursued by a number of organizations, including the Rangers, who are reportedly trying to pry him away from the Pirates.

Reynolds appears to be a trade target for the Miami Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Rangers, Seattle Mariners, and New York Yankees.

According to what is just said on MLBNetwork, “the Rangers are among the top candidates left to sign Pirates OF Bryan Reynolds. The Pirates are looking for high-potential pitching prospects to trade for Reynolds, and Texas has three pitchers ranked in the top 100 by MLB Pipeline: Leiter, White, and Porter.”

Reynolds stands out since he still has three more seasons under team supervision before turning professional. The Post claims that the Rangers extended a long-term contract offer to Reynolds that included a base salary of $75 million over six years and no team options.

According to sources, though, his representatives first wanted a deal that was more in line with the $168 million, eight-year agreement Matt Olson got in Atlanta. The Rangers and Pirates may trade each other, and MLB fans had something to say about it.

Will Reynolds Join The Rangers?

He has become the center of off-season trade rumors ever since he requested a trade from the Pittsburgh Pirates. With three seasons left under team control, Reynolds, a switch-hitter with a career OPS+ of 127 who won’t be playing center field for his next team, is still under contract.

In accordance with reports, the Pirates are reportedly seeking a return comparable to that of Juan Soto, one that includes a top starting pitching prospect. Which weapons from the Rangers the Pirates classify at that tier is unclear.

The Texas Rangers have taken care of one of their most pressing requirements this summer with the addition of four new starting pitchers, including new ace Jacob deGrom and the recently acquired Nathan Eovaldi.

Although the left field is the most logical spot for it, the Rangers have been clear from the beginning of the summer that they would like to add another middle-of-the-order bat.
