The LA Lakers have won three out of four games recently, but according to social media critics, one player hasn’t been pulling off his weight: Anthony Davis.

Davis has so far averaged 22.1 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in Lakers’ 17 games this season, which is impressive if you ask anyone.

But apparently, three bad games can be enough to drag a player down.

The only time Davis had scored 10 points or less this season was on November 7 against the Miami Heat, November 16 against the Sacramento Kings, and most recently, on November 22 against the Dallas Mavericks.

Taking into account that the Lakers had lost each of those games, social media users blasted Davis, labeling him an “overrated” center who was “inconsistent” and a player who “struggles with back-to-back games.”

They even went so far as to say that it was time for the Lakers to trade him.

And seeing as many people have hopped on the hate train, Reaves left a little message for them.

Reaves: ‘Everybody’s quick to talk bad about AD’

Following his disappointing 10-point register in 36 minutes of play against the Mavs, Davis made up for it in the Lakers’ next game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He put up an impressive 32 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks.

After his sensational return, Reaves had this to say to the Davis’ critics: “Everybody’s quick to talk bad about AD when he has an off night. … He’s affecting the game more than what the average human is picking up on.”

David has led six out of the Lakers’ 17 games this season, his highest score being 32 points.

In terms of rebounds, David also takes the cake with this one, as he’s led the team 10 times out of 17, the highest being 19 rebounds.

Still, some fans weren’t convinced of Davis’ latest stats and of Reave’s comments, stating that the 10-point performance was simply not acceptable and reiterating their belief that the Lakers center has been ‘inconsistent’.
