The NBA in-season tournament is a brand-new strategy to spice up the regular season. Based on their previous season’s record, teams will be split into groups of five, and during the tournament’s opening round, each team will play the other once.
The top six teams from each conference will proceed to the single-elimination knockout rounds. The NBA Cup, a brand-new trophy presented for the first time in 2023–2024, will be given to the tournament’s victor.
The competition, which will run from November 3 through December 9, will allow clubs to compete for a brand-new reward and ratchet up the excitement for the early half of the season. Fans who see their favorite teams compete for a new crown will surely enjoy the tournament.
Except for the final game, the NBA in-season tournament knockout rounds will be a single-elimination, winner-take-all event that counts towards the regular season record. On national television, viewers may watch the action.
