Sports go beyond basic recreation for a large number of young people in local towns and schools. In local schools and youth sports facilities near them, more than 60 million children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 18 participate in organized sports every year.
A minimum of 61% of adults who played sports frequently as kids also report higher rates of success in life, better communication skills, lower rates of drug and alcohol abuse, higher standards of living, and more active interactions with their families, partners, communities, and social networks.
The Fayetteville Woodpeckers have donated baseball gear through the TJ Robinson Life Center to encourage young people to play baseball and other sports. Young people will get free access to baseball equipment and other opportunities to learn about the sport thanks to the donation.
Young people of all ages, colors, religions and socioeconomic backgrounds have equal access to possibilities at the TJ Robinson Life Center, a multi-sport and community gym in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
Batting cages and other baseball equipment, such as bats, gloves, helmets, and pitching machines, are now available to kids in local Fayetteville schools and neighborhoods.
In order to enable them to study, grow, and prosper in a stable environment, the contribution intends to encourage young people to learn about baseball and get involved in the sport without the financial barriers that could have otherwise prevented them from doing so.
