Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli, dubbed the world’s best batter, hit out at “crazy fanaticism” on Monday after a fan invaded his privacy by recording a video of his hotel room and making it available to the public.

With a statement on his Instagram account expressing his outrage at the action, a furious Kohli re-shared the social media video that had gone viral.

A hotel in Perth named Crown apologized to former India captain Virat Kohli for bringing up this problem and stated that the parties involved had been stood down and removed from the Crown account.

Virat Kohli’s objection has been clarified by Crown Perth

“Our top concern is making sure that our visitors are safe and private, thus we are very sad that this occurrence happened. We sincerely apologise to the offended visitor and will do all in our power to make sure this is a one-time occurrence,” Crown stated in a press release.

“We have no tolerance for this behavior, and it significantly falls short of the expectations we have for our team members and contractors.

“Crown has taken quick action to address the problem. The personnel responsible have been fired and kicked off the Crown account, and the original video has been immediately taken off social media, it continued.

“Crown is undertaking an inquiry with the third-party contractor and will take any additional measures necessary to ensure an event of this sort does not occur again.

In order to express our regrets, we are also cooperating with the Indian Cricket Team and the International Cricket Council, and we will keep doing so as the investigation moves forward, the statement continued.

The International Cricket Council released a statement saying that it was “very unhappy” by the egregious invasion of privacy that an Indian traveler experienced at the Crown Perth while getting ready for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2022.

“We continue to work with event hotels and security suppliers to ensure that this is a one-time incident and that player privacy is always protected,” said the statement.
