New Zealand cricketers will be touring Bangladesh for the first time in 10 years. The tourists will arrive on September 17 and play the first one-day international (ODI) with Bangladesh on September 21.
New Zealand will play three ODIs and two Test matches in Bangladesh.
While all three ODIs will be in September, the two Tests will be played in late November and early December.
The ODIs and Tests are being spaced apart for a reason.
Both Bangladesh and New Zealand will participate in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup tournament. The tournament will be held in India from October 5 till November 19.
The ODIs in Bangladesh offer the Kiwis the ideal opportunity to adjust to subcontinental conditions before the World Cup in India.
After the World Cup, Bangladesh and New Zealand will face each other in Tests in Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the tour schedule. It said: “This will be New Zealand’s first ODI and Test series in Bangladesh after 2013.”
All three ODIs will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, an article from sporstkeeda.com shared.

The first Test match will be held from November 28 to December 2, and the second from December 6 to December 10. The Test match venues are yet to be confirmed. A two-day practice match will be played, starting on November 23, after the New Zealand team arrives in Dhaka on November 21 for the Tests.
Bangladesh drew both the Test matches with New Zealand in 2013 but won all three ODIs that followed, while New Zealand won a T20i match.
