Danish Kaneria Cricket

The Indian selectors came under fire from the former Pakistani cricketer, Danish Kaneria after Suryakumar Yadav engineered Team India’s stunning victory over New Zealand.

In the second T20I on Sunday, Team India easily defeated New Zealand by a score of 65 runs because of Suryakumar Yadav’s play.

At Mount Maunganui’s Bay Oval, Suryakumar, who had been moved up to bat at No. 3, hammered a game-changing century to enable Team India, which was playing without Rohit Sharma, to take a 1-0 series lead. As a result of his outstanding batting performance against the T20 World Cup 2022 semifinalist, the in-form batsman was voted Player of the Match.

Suryakumar gave a hint that he is getting close to making his eagerly anticipated Test debut after leading Team India to an emphatic victory over the Kane Williamson-led team.

Only 13 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 41 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) have the 32-year-old batsman played for India. Danish Kaneria, a former cricketer for Pakistan, lashed out at the selectors for giving Suryakumar a last-minute chance, saying that they wasted the best batter’s most formative years in cricket.

“The five years Suryakumar Yadav spent as a selection were lost. He has made up for a lost time, though, by consistently demonstrating his prowess at the highest level. Every single expert we consult today is speaking about Suryakumar.”

India crushed New Zealand in the middle game of the three-match series, with top-ranked batsman Suryakumar scoring 111 runs off 52 balls and remaining unblemished. It is anticipated that the effective hitter will end the New Zealand series with the most runs scored.

Tuesday’s third and final T20I of the bilateral series will feature the flamboyant batsman leading the batting onslaught for the Virat Kohli-less team.

“Suryakumar Yadav is still acting in beast mode. Prior to the T20 World Cup, he began, continued during the World Cup, and is currently continuing in New Zealand.

“He was outstanding. He uses all available space on the field because of the manner he bats. In the history of cricket, no player has ever made shots like these. In the face of his assault, the bowlers frequently appear absolutely defenseless,” Kaneria continued.
