Defenceman Kevin Bahl is highly prized by the New Jersey Devils. The towering Canadian star, who stands 6 feet 6 inches tall, is an eye-catching combination of height and quickness and noted for his adept puck management.

Bahl signed a two-year $2.1 million contract extension with the Devils after coming off a three-year entry-level contract, reported ESPN.

New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald made it clear during contract negotiations that they wouldn’t let him go.

The manager spoke about Bahl’s looming presence and athleticism.

“Kevin Bahl. 6’6-7, you know, and can move and he’s got good hands. So he just needs an opportunity. And he’s gonna get that chance. So he’s the last guy. I’m trying to sign him right now,” Tom Fitzgerald said, according to an article from sportskeeda.com.

Fitzgerald’s unwavering assurance that Bahl is ready for a chance to demonstrate his talent shows the organisation’s unshakeable faith in his potential. The Devils are prepared to give Bahl the opportunity he needs to leave a lasting impression on the ice because they recognise his abilities.

Kevin Bahl was born on June 27, 2000. He developed his skills while playing with the Ottawa 67s in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The Arizona Coyotes saw his potential in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. And he has proven himself.

In 42 games, Bahl excelled with stellar defence, two goals, and six assists. His 2022–23 season was a spectacular performance. His versatile abilities, which he used to score 14 points over 66 NHL appearances, have stoked interest as he develops from a prospect to a significant player with a bright future.
