Warsaw, Poland

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has revealed that Poland wants to host the Olympics in 2040 or 2044. Poland is ready to make a historic bid for the Games. With this bold declaration, Poland has taken a big step towards realizing its dream of hosting the greatest athletic event in the world and has elevated its profile in the world of sports.

Tusk stated; “I dedicate this decision to the 10, 12 and 15-year-olds of today. Poland will officially bid to host the Olympic Games”

He added; “The realistic prospect, given the decisions, commitments, and preliminary statements of the International Olympic Committee, is that we can talk about 2040 or 2044,”

Andrzej Duda, the conservative president of Poland, made headlines last year when he announced that his country would put in a bid to host the Summer Olympics in 2036. His declaration was a major step towards the nation’s goal of hosting the esteemed international event.

This action demonstrates Poland’s increasing self-assurance in the global arena and reflects a strong desire to emphasize the country’s strengths.

Poland has a significant void in its esteemed sporting heritage as it has never hosted an Olympic Games. But when it co-hosted the UEFA European Football Championship in 2012 with Ukraine, the country showed off its large-scale event-hosting skills and garnered a lot of praise from across the world.

Poland once again stole the show in 2023 when it hosted the European Games, a further indication of its rising stature in the sports world. This latest achievement highlights the nation’s growing influence in the international sports arena and its ability to produce world-class athletic events.
