Billie Jean King Cup

If Great Britain can defeat Germany in the opening round in November, they will play against the defending champions, Canada, in the quarterfinals of the Billie Jean King Cup. If Great Britain secures victory, the well-renowned players from each country, Emma Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez, may have a rematch, following their match at the 2021 US Open.

Along with Australia, Italy, and the Czech Republic, the reigning champions from Canada is one of four teams seeded to go to the quarterfinals of the competition in Seville later this year.

The Billie Jean King Cup Finals Draw

The International Tennis Federation announced that the structure has changed from groups to a straight knockout, meaning that a total of 12 teams qualified for the Finals.

The women’s team event’s final draw put the United States, the eighteen-time champions, up against Slovakia. Spain, the hosts, must defeat Poland so that the victorious team can play the Czechs.

The quarterfinals will take place from November 15 to November 17, and the first round matches will take place from November 12 to November 14 at Seville’s La Cartuja Stadium. Two singles matches and one doubles match make up each tie. November 18 and 19 will be the dates of the semi-finals, while November 20 will be the final game.
