This month, Stefanos Tsitsipas took a huge step forward in his career and achieved a milestone that nobody his age has achieved so far.

It’s barely a week into November, and already the Greek phenom has achieved two big accomplishments: upsetting world No. 9 Alexander Zverev to reach his 50th win of the year and defeating world No. 15 Karen Khachanov in the Rolex Paris Masters quarterfinals to hit the 300th win of his career.
Because of this, Tsitsipas is now firmly entrenched as one of the greatest tennis players Greece has ever produced, having been the first individual born in 1998 or later to win 300 career matches, according to Tennis.com.

Upon being interviewed following the match, the player expressed his pleasure at having achieved his 300th victory, noting that it had been a difficult journey to reach this point.
“It is a nice moment, 300 victories did not just happen, they required a lot of hard work. I am happy that i reached this number. I have bigger dreams and expectations from myself. The road, so far, is a beautiful one, that i created by myself. Today it was a good victory and a good way to show that i can tactically ‘attack’ and create opportunities rather than wait to react to my opponent’s shot,” Tsitsipas said.

Tsitsipas avenges Miami loss
Khachanov ended his losing skid against the Greek sensation, Tsitsipas, earlier this year in their Miami Open encounter, winning 7-6(4), 6-4 and bringing their head-to-head tally to 6-1. Khachanov even made light of the fact that, for him, the seventh time was the charm in an interview.
“They say third time is a charm, but for me it took seven times, so I’m super happy,” said Khachanov.
This time, though, Tsitsipas was determined not to lose the second time around. In the first set, he breezed past his Russian-American opponent 6-3 before continuing his winning streak in the second set with a 6-4 victory.
When questioned about the range of strategies he used to undermine Khachanov’s initial power, Tsitsipas responded, “It feels good to have so much variety and so much diversity in the way you can play. I take that as an opportunity to keep growing my game and keep looking forward at the many more matches to come and appreciate each moment that comes my way.”
