The team was further hampered by a first-lap incident involving Nico Hulkenberg, Kevin Magnussen, and Alex Albon. The squad was unable to gain any points in either the Sprint or main race. Although Hulkenberg’s car sustained major damage, Magnussen and Albon were able to finish the race. Haas F1 highlights the requirement for a significant performance boost in the last two races due to the approaching end of the season.
Hulkenberg driver voiced regret that the much-anticipated changes did not come to pass, despite the great hopes around the recent significant overhaul that was unveiled in Austin.
