On Sunday, November 6, the second match of their FIH Pro League doubleheader between the Indian men’s hockey team and Spain will be played in Bhubaneswar.
Even though Harmanpreet Singh and company lost the opening leg of their match 2-3 to the Spanish Red Sticks, they have six points after three games and have already defeated New Zealand twice.
In the meantime, as the 2022–23 Pro League season got underway in Mendoza, Argentina, Germany overcame Olympic and World Cup champions Belgium 3-2.

On November 6, 2022, at 7:10 p.m. IST, there will be a match between Spain and India. The FIH Hockey Pro League will be televised in India on Star Sports Network. On the Star Sports Select 2 and Star Sports Select 2 HD networks, the game will be broadcast live.

A youthful Spanish team coached by Max Caldas defeated India and New Zealand in their first two games. Against the Black Sticks, they had a 1-0 lead with a minute left when Kane Russell scored on a penalty kick.
New Zealand won the ensuing shootout, giving the Black Sticks their first points of the competition even though Spain now leads the tournament with 7 points after 3 games.
For the three-nation mini-tournament at the Kalinga Stadium, which is a part of the Hockey Pro League, the Indians will be looking to win their final Pro League game of the year in order to ensure they finish on top.
The Indian think-tank will be closely monitoring the events as the World Cup approaches in January in order to choose which players will receive the ultimate approval to compete in the major event.
The Indians are not expected to play any more games this season even though the Pro League season is still going on according to the modified format, which calls for a series of mini-tournaments with three teams playing doubleheaders against one another at a single location.
Australia and Germany will play the Indians in a second Pro League mini-tournament in March of the following year, which will be held in Rourkela’s Birsa Munda Stadium.
