When he introduced WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre lit the place on fire by challenging Sami Zayn, pointing to his previous allegiance to the Bloodline, and declaring that payback was overdue. Emerging, Zayn responded to Drew’s criticism by charging that he had betrayed his family and fans. He took great pride in his ability to bounce back from setbacks and even made the cover of WrestleMania. As the tension increased, Drew became enraged and demanded that a referee be called for what seemed to be an exciting opening match of the evening.

Sami Zayn was kicked out of the ring early in the bout, and Drew McIntyre attempted to smash him into the ring post, but Zayn deftly sidestepped the move and sent McIntyre flying into it. McIntyre delivered a vicious clothesline inside the ring before stomping Zayn hard in the chest and knees. Zayn struggled to complete a good vertical suplex on McIntyre, but he was still able to avoid a tackle. Even though it seemed like Zayn hurt his leg, he continued and almost won the match with a tilt-a-whirl DDT.
Drew McIntyre threw Sami over the announce table at RAW and then came back into the ring for a near-fall powerbomb. McIntyre used a chop block to attack Sami’s wounded leg, even though Zayn returned with a Blue Thunder Bomb. He secured the victory with a stunning Claymore to end the match.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax engaged in a fierce brawl, with Baszler having the early advantage by cornering Jax. But outside the ring, Jax counterattacked with a leg drop and many blows, trapping Baszler in a Cobra Clutch. Jax won after countering with a Samoan drop and a Banzai drop despite Baszler’s efforts.
